This year, the Zigong Chinese Lantern World has also incorporated Sun Wukong’s iconic image into its lantern designs. Following the park’s signage and ascending to the hilltop, visitors will encounter a colossal lantern inspired by Sun Wukong, measuring 6 meters in length, 8 meters in width, and towering 18 meters in height.

The most eye-catching “Qingcheng Shuangshu” lantern group of the Zigong Lantern Fair in 2024 is precisely this modern expression of the worship of the spirit snake. In the splendor of the millennium salt capital, two eight meters high snake fairies dance in the sky, they shed the traditional white snake legend of the supernatural temperament.

By February 20, 2025, the Zigong Lantern Festival had welcomed over 1 million visitors during Spring Festival, breaking all previous records. The Zigong Lantern Festival is famous for its expert craftsmanship. It’s no wonder people call it a masterpiece of craftsmanship.
