Chinese Lanterns, also known as flower lanterns (花灯), are an indispensable part of traditional Chinese culture. With a history that goes back thousands of years, lanterns are a unique symbol of Chinese civilization. They carry people’s aspirations for a better life and their blessings, and they represent a pinnacle of traditional Chinese craftsmanship and aesthetics.
Zigong Forest Painting Culture and Art Co., Ltd. successfully collaborated with Huangshan Scenic Area to create a landmark commercial lantern display featuring the popular anime lantern IP “Nezha”.
The star of the show is the 18-meter-tall Mecha Sun Wukong—a colossal fusion of steel, silk, and mechanics. Standing as tall as a six-story building, this installation proves that lantern art has evolved into large-scale architectural engineering.
